Press the power button on the cooktop, then press the ‘up’ button on the section of the cook top you plan to cook on. Control the heat using the up and down arrows. The hot plate will only work when there is a pot touching it. When you have finished cooking, pres the power button, and the light will continue to flash during the cooling off period to warn that the glass is still hot to touch. Press in the oven dials so they pop out, and turn to select the required function and temperature – then press and hold the triangle 4 ‘play’ button (about 2 seconds) until the oven turns on. Place dishes on the racks upside down, so that water spraying from the bottom of the dishwasher can spray up and into the dishes, and place cutlery in the basket. Generally place larger items (pots, plates etc) on the bottom rack, and smaller items and plastic items on the top rack. Please hand wash sharp knives. When you are ready to wash, place an unwrapped dishwashing tablet in the cavity on the inside of the dishwasher door. Close the flap on this cavity, then select the required wash program from the buttons on the top of the dishwasher door, and press ‘start’. Close the dishwasher door and it should start automatically. A hard copy of the instruction should also be in the Appliance Manual booklet in your apartment.

Washing Machine:

Open the door by pulling upwards and outwards on the handle on the inside of the plastic ring on the front door. Place the clothes into the machine so they are loosely packed and close the door. Chose the wash program by turning the dial. Add a scoop of washing powder to the drawer on the top left hand corner of the machine. Close the drawer and press START. More information on the machine and its operation is available at: http://au.gorenje.com/products/laundry/models/washing-machines/w8544p/445493 – and a hard copy of the instruction should also be in the Appliance Manual booklet in your apartment.

Press POWER to activate the dryer. The dryer will default to the ‘Everyday’ cycle. Press the 4 ‘play’ button to start the cycle. When the dryer finishes it will beep and turn off automatically. Please clean the filter after each use – this is located at the top of the door arch and is only accessible when the door is open. More information on the machine and its operations is available here:  https://www.fisherpaykel.com/download/user-guide/Laundry/Dry/Dryers/428118a-nz-au-sg-row-dry-DE5060M-DE4060M-guide.pdf – and a hard copy of the instruction should also be in the Appliance Manual booklet in your apartment.

Heat Pump/Air Conditioner:

There is a remote control for operating this unit which should be located in the holder attached to a wall in your apartment. We recommend setting the temperature to 21 degrees in the cooler months, and turning the unit off when you leave the apartment – it will be quick to re-heat upon your return.
